VEGAN PRETZELS INGREDIENTS
Flour: all-purpose flour
Instant dry yeast
Cane sugar
Vegan butter
Vegan egg
Salt

HOW TO MAKE PRETZELS
These recipe would make four big pretzels or eight small pretzels.
- Add warms water to instant dry yeast. Cover it with the remaining flour. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Add cane sugar, vanilla, salt and vegan egg.
- Beat with a spatula until the dough peels away from sides of the bowl.
- Add vegan butter and knead by hand.
- Stir in orange peel and knead until combined.
- Shape into a ball and chill for 3 hours.
- Divide the dough into four pieces.
- Flatten the dough slightly. Fold one third over itself. Shape into a log.
- Roll and stretch into a rope. Bend the rope to make a horseshoe shape.
- Cross one end over the other. Cross the ends again and fold back onto the bottom of the horseshoe.
- Transfer the pretzels to a baking sheet (covered with parchment paper), cover with a plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.
- Bake for 30 minutes (365F).
- Once ready, brush the pretzels with the syrup (warm orange jam).
