VEGAN ANISE CAKE INGREDIENTS
Flour: all-purpose flour
Cane sugar
Corn syrup (dark)
Baking powder
Vegan egg
Anise seeds
Water
HOW TO MAKE ANISE CAKE
- In a saucepan, bring water and anise seeds to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, set aside.
- Sift the flour and baking powder.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk vegan eggs, corn syrup and cane sugar.
- Add infused “anise water”, flour and baking powder.
- Mix everything. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter in a prepared pan.
- Sprinkle anise seeds on the top.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes (365F) until ready.
