HOT WATER CRUST PASTRY PASTY FILLING
For the pasty filling you could use combination of vegetables: potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, peas and corn. You could add tofu, mushrooms or seitan.
To make vegan pasty:
- Roll out the dough and cut out.
- Place the filling in the center.
- Brush each pastry with vegan “egg-wash” (recipes for egg wash could be found in these post).
- Bake 25-20 minutes (365F) until golden brown.
You could bake a pie with a hot water pastry using a springform cake tin because the dough might be fragile once baked.
