The Waldorf Salad was introduced in 1893 at charity ball honoring St. Mary’s Hospital for Children at Waldorf Hotel. It was part of the menu created by Edouard Beauchamp (executive chef). Oscar Tschirky (maitre d’hotel) was the creator of the salad.

Celery: celery stalk
Apples
Nuts: walnuts or pecan
Vegan Mayo (for dressing)
