Bruschetta is grilled bread rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil and topped with a variety of toppings.
EASY BRUSCHETTA INGREDIENTS
To make this simple Italian Bruschetta you will need:
Bread: any crusty bread of your choice (rustic, baguette).
Tomatoes: grape tomatoes.
Fresh Basil
Garlic
Fresh Basil Oil (recipe for basil oil could be found in these post).
Balsamic vinegar: dark concentrated vinegar.
HOW TO MAKE BEST BRUSCHETTA
- Cut tomatoes.
- Heat skillet over medium heat adding olive oil.
- Place the bread slices on skillet and cook until crisp and golden.
- Immediately rub one side of each slice with a garlic clove.
- Arrange bread slices on a platter. Top with tomatoes, basil and drizzle with the basil oil and balsamic vinegar.
BRUSCHETTA TIPS
- Use crusty coarse bread
- You could broil bread in the oven
- Rub bread with garlic clove immediately after taking out from the oven or skillet
