This vegan banana bread is moist, easy to make, egg & dairy free and has a special twist: pear puree! It’s a “classic”, absolutely delicious and the best banana bread!

This plant-based banana bread recipe contain pear puree which gives a nice pudding like texture. I’m happy to share with you this recipe for a healthy banana bread, which would no disappoint you.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN BANANA BREAD

  1. Preheat the oven 365F.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl mash the bananas. Set aside.

  1. In a food processor or blender puree pear until smooth.
  2. Add pear puree to mashed bananas. Add the wet ingredients to “banana-pear” mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl sift dry ingredients.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter in a greased loaf pan and bake 40-50 minutes until golden brown.

VEGAN BANANA BREAD TIPS

  • Use riped bananas, it will give more sweetness and will act as binder, replacing eggs. (you could know more “egg substitutes” tips from Free E-book “Vegan Baking Guide” by signing up to a monthly newsletters)
  • Don’t overmix the batter!
  • For pear puree you could blend poached pear. 
  • Use vegan buttermilk (how to make your own vegan buttermilk recipe could be found here).

You can keep your banana bread up to three days, however it will depends on the topping which would you use.

Why my banana bread is raw in the middle?

It might be due to oven temperature too high. Try to lower the temperature and let it bake until set.
