APPLE CHUTNEY

This is quite possible one of the easiest chutney recipe you can make. Apple and onion are bound together with spices.

APPLE CHUTNEY INGREDIENTS 

Apples 

Onion

Vegan butter  

Olive oil

Apple vinegar

Water  

Cane sugar 

Salt 

Mustard seed

Dried mint 

Dried thyme 

HOW TO MAKE APPLE CHUTNEY 

  1. In a saucepan combine vinegar, water, cane sugar, salt and mustard seeds. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and set aside. 
  2. In a large saucepan melt the butter with olive oil. Add onions and cook, until tender. Add apples and vinegar mixture. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, until apples are just tender. Add dried mint and thyme, and cook for about 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion (peeled and chopped)
  • 4 apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions
