VEGAN ANISE CAKE INGREDIENTS 

Flour: all-purpose flour 

Cane sugar 

Corn syrup (dark)

Baking powder

Vegan egg 

Anise seeds

Water 

HOW TO MAKE ANISE CAKE

  1. In a saucepan, bring water and anise seeds to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, set aside. 
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder. 
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk vegan eggs, corn syrup and cane sugar. 
  4. Add infused “anise water”, flour and baking powder. 
  5. Mix everything. Do not overmix. 
  6. Pour the batter in a prepared pan.
  7. Sprinkle anise seeds on the top. 
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes (365F) until ready.
