VEGAN FIG TART INGREDIENTS

To make tartlet shells you will need:

Vegan butter

Flour

Almond flour

Icing sugar

Aquafaba

For fig compote you will need:

Brown sugar

Vegan cream

Fig jam

Aquafaba

HOW TO MAKE FIG TART

Vegan Pastry Tartlet Shells:

  1. In the bowl mix together butter, icing sugar, whipped aquafaba, flour and almond flour.
  2. Combine everything to make a smooth dough.
  3. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Once cooled, roll out the dough and cut out with a cookies cutter.
  5. Line pastry rings. Prick the base and let rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Fig Compote:

  1. Blend all the ingredients. Cover and keep chilled.
  1. Preheat the oven 365F. Line each tartlet shell with parchment paper and ceramic baking beans.
  2. Pre-bake each shell for 10 minutes. Remove the beans.
  3. Cut the fresh figs. Arrange in the shells, add the fig compote.
  4. Bake 15-20 minutes.

  • 4 tbsp vegan cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup aquafaba
  • 60 g fig jam

Tartlet Shells

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup almond flour

  • 1 1/2 lb figs
