POACHED PEARS

EASY POACHED PEARS INGREDIENTS 

Pears 

Water 

Cinnamon 

Cane sugar 

Garnish: vegan whipped cream, chocolate ganache 

HOW TO POACH PEARS 

  1. Pour the water into a large pan. 
  2. Add cinnamon stick to the water with the sugar and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. 
  3. Add the pears and place a piece of parchment paper on the top to keep them submerged. 
  4. Simmer gently for 20 minutes. Insert a sharp knife to test whether the pears are tender. 
  5. When the pears are cooked, leave them to cool in the syrup. 
  6. Garnish with vegan whipped cream and ganache (optional).

  • 6 cups water
  • 4 pears (firm) (peeled with stems still attached)
  • 1/2 cup cane sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Instructions

  • Pour the water into a large pan. Add cinnamon stick to the water with the sugar and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
