WHEN WALDORF SALAD IS CREATED AND WHO CREATE IT?

The Waldorf Salad was introduced in 1893 at charity ball honoring St. Mary’s Hospital for Children at Waldorf Hotel. It was part of the menu created by Edouard Beauchamp (executive chef). Oscar Tschirky (maitre d’hotel) was the creator of the salad.

VEGAN WALDORF SALAD INGREDIENTS

Celery: celery stalk

Apples

Nuts: walnuts or pecan

Vegan Mayo (for dressing)

HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY WALDORF SALAD

  1. Cut celery and apples into dice.
  2. Soak nuts in water for 25 minutes.
  3. Season with vegan mayo.
