CUCUMBER SANDWICH (TEA SANDWICH)

These Cucumber Sandwich is a perfect appetizer for afternoon tea or simply enjoy it for lunch, picnics or as a snack. It’s vegan and made of simple ingredients!

Traditional cucumber sandwich is made of cucumbers, bread and butter. In these recipe we would take a different approach by placing slices of cucumber on the top of bread.

VEGAN CUCUMBER TEA SANDWICH INGREDIENTS

Cucumbers

Vegan cream cheese

Horseradish: I would suggest to use cream horseradish which you can buy at the grocery store (try to find with less added ingredients type).

Bread: use any type of bread

HOW TO MAKE CUCUMBER SANDWICH

Cut the cucumber into slices.

  1. Remove the peel.

  1. Hollow out the center using a measuring spoon.

  1. Place vegan cream cheese into the bowl. Add horseradish, salt and pepper.
  2. Stir to mix throughly.

  1. Sprinkle the cucumber slices with salt.
  2. Using a pastry bag, pipe cream cheese mixture on the top of each cucumber slice.

  1. Cut out bread slices into little squares.

  1. Spread cream cheese mixture on the top of each bread square.
  2. Place cucumber slices on the top of bread squares.
  3. Garnish with greens and red pepper.
