Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup cane sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups vegan buttermilk
  • 1 vegan egg
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter (melted)

Instructions
 

  • In large bowl, stir together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, cane sugar and salt. 
  • In another bowl, combine vegan buttermilk, vegan egg, and vegan butter (melted). 
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until combine. 
  • Spread the batter into a prepared pan. Bake 20-30 minutes (365F).
