Fig and cherry scones is a vegan, fluffy scones made with dry figs and cherries (frozen). It is easy to make and perfect for tea, coffee or snacking.

- 3 oz dried figs
- 1 oz frozen cherries
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp vegan butter
- 1 vegan egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup vegan buttermilk
Finely dice figs and cherries.
Sift the flour and baking powder. Add sugar.
Add the butter and rub into the dry ingredients with your hands.Add vegan egg and buttermilk.
Incorporate cherries and figs. Stir and mix until the dough is firm.
Shape the dough into a rectangular.
Use a knife to cut the scones.
Place the scones on a lined baking sheets.
Brush the top with vegan egg was. Bake for 25-30 minutes (365F) until golden brown.
