Combine the vegan butter, cane sugar, orange zest and salt in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, until the sugar dissolves.
In a large mixing bowl, add flour, yeast and vegan egg. Gradually pour the lukewarm syrup. Knead the dough until smooth. Mix in candied orange peels. Shape into a ball and let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. On a lightly floured work surface flatten the dough and using the palms of your hands, roll out the log. Shape the log into the wreath. Join the ends of the wreath. Let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
Brush with vegan egg wash. Holding the scissors at slight angle, snip incisions all around the wreath. Bake (365F) 25-20 minutes.
