This Italian-inspired version of Pizza Tart gets its distinctive flavor from addition of basil and garlic.

Ingredients
 
 

Dough

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp grape seed oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt

Filling

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp grape seed oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3-5 leaves basil

Instructions
 

Dough

  • Sift the flour into a bowl. Pour olive oil and grape seed oil over the flour.Mix well. Add water and salt. Knead until you have a smooth dough.Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. 

Filling

  • Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender. Pour the mixture into a clean pan, Stir in frequently over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat when the mixture becomes shiny and thick.Roll out the dough.

Tart

  • Cut out round with a cookie cutter. Pour the filling mixture on the top. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.Bake 365F for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
